If all goes as planned, Samsung’s launch event for the Galaxy series is closer than ever. Also this year, the Korean technology giant is expected to launch three new models in its flagship series, which will include a base model, a plus model and an ultra model. What will the new devices look like, how much will they cost and when will we get to see them up close? Here are all the reports and leaks.

The launch events for the Galaxy device series usually take place during the months of January-February. As of this moment, Samsung has not yet revealed the date of its launch event, but various reports on the web claim that it will take place on February 13st.

How much will the Galaxy S23 series cost in india?

Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus Detail

According to quite a few leaks and reports on the subject, the Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus will not present a significant change in everything related to the design and appearance of the devices. There are, of course, some changes that have been observed in the various leaks, the biggest of which is in the visibility of the camera array which has now become completely flat similar to what we got in the S22 Ultra . Beyond that, this year Samsung may give up a white model and instead launch models in green, light pink and black alongside a new color – beige.

Another change that we will of course get this year will be in the specifications of the two models, which are now expected to showcase the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset . Also, this year Samsung is expected to continue to reduce the production of its internal processor, Exynos, so it is likely that we will happily receive the models with the Snapdragon processor in Israel this year as well.

Along with the chipset, the devices are expected to offer 8 gigabytes of working memory (RAM) and up to 256 gigabytes of storage capacity. As for the screens, the base model is expected to arrive again this year with a size of 6.1 inches, and the plus model will offer a screen size of 6.6 inches. Both screens will feature support for a 120 Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution. The devices are expected to arrive with the OneUI 5 operating system based on Android 13.

This year Samsung is expected to increase the battery capacity of both models, with the basic S23 model coming with a 3,900 mAh battery (compared to 3,700 mAh in the previous generation), and the Plus model coming with a 4,700 mAh battery (compared to 4,500 mAh in the previous generation) ). However, and unfortunately for many users, it seems that Samsung does not intend to improve the fast charging capabilities of the devices, with the base model offering fast charging with a power of 25 watts, and the plus model offering fast charging with a power of probably 45 watts.

The photography setup of these models will not show any significant changes either. According to the reports, Samsung will probably keep the sensors and lenses of the Galaxy S23 and S23 Plus almost completely, with the main improvements being made in the image processing and the resolution of the photos.

Galaxy S23 Ultra specification

Similar to last year, Samsung continues to focus the main changes on the end model of the Galaxy S23 series, which will receive the title “Ultra” again this year and will come with a built-in touch pen.

The device will receive Qualcomm’s new chipset along with 8 or 12 gigabytes of working memory, along with purchase options for up to 1 terabyte of storage capacity. The screen of the device is expected to reach a size of 6.9 inches and a QHD+ resolution. In the battery section, we will probably get the same 5,000 mAh battery of the previous Ultra model, which is also expected to offer fast charging with a power of 45 watts.

The relatively big change of the ultra model is in the photography setup: many reports claim that this year Samsung will showcase a new and advanced sensor that will offer an unprecedented resolution of 200 megapixels, which will replace the sensor of the previous model that came with a 108 megapixel resolution.

Another interesting report claims that Samsung will lower the selfie camera of the model, and it will include a sensor with a resolution of 12 megapixels instead of 40 megapixels, this is because Samsung plans to introduce some significant changes in the image processing capabilities of the device that will allow the front camera to provide good photos.
